CITY OF ELLSWORTH CURBSIDE COLLECTION

The City of Ellsworth has contracted with Waste Management Inc. (1-866-881-6477) to collect solid waste from residential households. Curbside trash collection is a pay per bag system and each bag must have a red $2 City of Ellsworth trash collection sticker attached and clearly visible. You may use a private hauler and not participate in the city curbside program.

Waste Management Inc. will collect your trash bags every Thursday. If Thursday is a holiday, trash pickup will be the next day, Friday. If you will not be home on the morning of the trash pickup day, please take your tagged trash bags to the Ellsworth Transfer Station. Bags left out beside the road overnight are almost certain to be opened by animals.

Each bag must have a clearly visible $2 red sticker attached. Any bag weighing more than 50 pounds will be refused. Put your bags at the curbside before 7am. If you live on a private road, place your bag with red sticker at the designated areas where the camp private road meets the public road.
