GRANT PLANNING

The City is considering applying for a 2010 CDBG Community Enterprise Grant for the purpose of recapitalizing the Ellsworth Façade Improvements Grant Program and adding a Micro-loan component to the program. The program focuses on businesses located or interested in locating in the Ellsworth Urban Core. Businesses in the Downtown Area may receive priority status. Businesses potentially interested in benefiting from these funds are strongly encouraged to fill out the NEEDS ASSESSMENT FORM (PDF) [or in MS Word] as soon as possible and send it to:

The gathered information will be used by the City to structure the program requirements, as well as provide the city a competitive edge in its application to the Maine Department Economic and Community Development.
