Waterfront Redevelopment Concept Plan |
To facilitate redevelopment of the waterfront area, Ellsworth initiated the Brownfields Project in 2004. With the assistance from U.S. EPA grant funds, environmental assessments were conducted on the Morrison Chevrolet, Maine Shellfish, Cadoo properties, Union River Boat Company sites, and the parking lot located between Key Bank and the Ellsworth American. The assessments help the property owners understand the environmental conditions so that redevelopment possibilities of their property are more readily understood. |
