The High Street Beautification Study provides a common vision and implementation methods to enhance the character and functionality of High Street. It provides design guidelines for streetscape and site development as well as ordinance recommendations.

High Street Reconstruction Project 2005

The High Street Reconstruction project, consisted of the construction of a new lane from Main Street to Washington Street, sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, and landscaping. The project included the relocation of utilities (power, cable, and telephone lines) to provide the space needed for the extra lane and sidewalks. The project improved mobility, safety and walkability on High Street.
